Curriculum

Structure and content of curriculum at UST JHS using K to 12 curriculum following curriculum from Philippines Education's Department. The UST JHS Curriculum injects Brain-based Education principles to ensure learning. The UST Junior High School implements the “Learning Anytime Anywhere” (LAA) mobile learning initiative, which introduces the use of electronic tablets as a tool  to strengthen the teaching – learning process and usher our students into the future of e-learning. For chemistry subject, there are repetition methods to makes the students more understand and know to solve any equation.

Teaching plan related to your major

just like other subjects, all the learning steps in chemistry subject are also based on the content of the activities based on the Lesson plan. As in the preliminary activities, there are opening prayer, checking of attendance and checking of classroom physical set-up. After the preliminary activities I told my students the review so they are could relate the last lesson and today and gave the motivation as well as references. In the core activities there is a explanation about the materials. As well as closing activities the teacher gives some exercise to the students and let them to answet it by their self for 10 minutes and then several delegation will write down their answer on the white board. Finally, I checks the student's work and giving the correct answer. During the lesson, the teacher observes students' attitudes in learning that include attitudes: discipline, confidence, honest, behavior, resilience to responsibility issues, curiosity, and environmental care.
